Fatoumata Ceesay currently heads GRTS-Radio Newsroom. From Announcer to Assistant Producer, Fatoumata rose through the ranks at the National Broadcaster becoming one of the few women News Editors at the Gambia Radio and Television Services. She is a seasoned news Presenter and hosts tough current affairs programs on GRTS Radio and Television among other corporate events. Fatoumata served as a Legal Secretary at JBS chambers & Associates Law firm. She also served as a Data analyst at YMCA and a Teacher at Abuko Upper Basic School. Fatoumata recently completed a 4year BSc program in Journalism and Digital Media at the University of The Gambia. She's the current President of the Journalism Students' Association of the university of The Gambia. She served as judge on many platforms including National Kids Podium Public Speaking competition. She's attended series of trainings within and outside The Gambia in a bid to further enhance her skills as a practising journalist. Aside her Journalism career, Fatoumata is an entrepreneur, running her own private catering firm employing several young people.
